2 DAYS TRIP TO BANDIPUR AND POKHARA OF GRAFI OFFSHORE NEPAL’S SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT STUDIO (SDS).

It was fine Saturday morning. Everyone from our team were timed to be gather at office by 7:00 AM. Almost everybody arrived on time. Once all members arrived we prepared for journey to our destination to Bandipur for a night stay. We were total of 10 people in two cars. We left office around 7:30 with full excitement.
The roads that led to our destination was bit bumpy and little difficult to drive. We arrived at Malekhu at around 10:00 am, stopped there to taste the popular fish from Malekhu. After finishing few plates of delicious fish from Malekhu we moved ahead. After half an hour of drive we stopped at Muglin, bought some oranges and start searching for suitable place somewhere near to river side for out PotLuck. Finally we found a suitable place for our PotLuck lunch. We collected all the food items brought by each individual, it was great fun enjoying food at riverside. After spending one and half hour at river side, we continued our journey further towards the Bandipur. We reached at Bandipur around 4:00 PM.
Bandipur is a small village with preserved heritage architecture buildings. It is one of the very old village of Nepal, as per locals the village is around 200 years old. We checked into the homestay that we booked from Kathmandu. But after spending an hour in Bandipur, team felt there isn’t much to explore so with everyone’s consent we decided to change our destination to Pokhara. As soon as everybody agreed we checked-out from the homestay. We had to pay 50% of amount as cancellation penalty but the Team’s excitement was much more valuable than the penalty we paid. Thus, we headed to Pokhara.
Pokhara is about 60kms far from Bandipur. We arrived Pokhara by 7:00 PM in the evening. We started searching for the hotel. After enquiring couple of hotels we decided one for staying night at Pokhara. Checked in to hotel, left our baggage and went out to explore the lake side of Pokhara. Pokhara is one of the popular tourist destination of Nepal. There are plenty of nice restaurant, pubs and clubs to spend evening with good music and food. We entered in to the Busy Bee café, it was bit crowded but had good live music, food and beer. We spent few hours in the café listening music and enjoying the food/drinks. Few of our colleagues went to dance floor to shake and sweat with the music. After spending few hours in café and pub we returned to hotel room, where some of member started playing card and some were chatting and laughing. All went to bed by 3:00 am.

Everyone woke up early in the morning around 6:00 am. I was expecting everyone to be tired because of late night sleep, but surprisingly all woke up fresh and energetic. With a morning tea and coffee we started planning for the day, since we need to return back to Kathmandu in the same day so we planned to keep the day simple. Soon we checked out from hotel and visited the place called “Shanti Stupa”, which is nearby Pokhara city. Spent an hour at Shanti Stupa and return back to Pokhara City searching for place where we can get good lunch with Nepali cuisine (Dal & Bhat). Decided to have a lunch at local restaurant called “Duna Tapari”. Food was very good, after enjoying the good lunch from the restaurant, whole team headed back to Kathmandu. One the way back we stopped at few places for tea and bought some oranges.
We arrived back to office by 8 PM. Everyone thanked each other and left for their home with warm goodbye!
