GO! REACHES ITS 10TH YEAR MILESTONE

Grafi Offshore celebrated it’s 10th year Anniversary on March 1st at Gokarna Forest Resort, a tranquil escape from a busy city life, surrounded by lush green space and colorful gardens. The daylong event took place inside Trishna Hall of the resort which was beautifully decorated to match the emotional venture that the staffs would go through on that day. Most of the active employees were present way before the marked time to get things ready for the event.

The formal program started with a welcome speech, which was followed by a welcome dance performed by beautiful young ladies of Grafi. Mr. Jeroen Dekker, one of the founders of Grafi, told a story that brought back old memories. Managing Director of Graf Offshore, Willemstad,Mr. Frank De Jong, inspired many with his words. Managing Director of Grafi Offshore Nepal, Mr. Upendra Shrestha gave a motivational speech urging everyone to stand as one to push the company to new heights.

After those motivational speeches, the event’s next attraction turned on the big screen. The committee had prepared a wonderful video which superbly portrayed the strength of Grafi Offshore. The video also touched few emotionally while almost everyone was awestruck by the way every small detail was presented with such high importance. The video made everyone at Grafi feel important and made the staffs realize how much of a difference they make to the company.

The video was followed by a band performance by the very own band of the office staffs, Manoj and the Surround. The band performed a beautiful song of Porcupine tree, which mesmerized many hearts. After that, there was an award ceremony where the dedicated staff members who had contributed 5 years and 10 years were honored respectively. They were acknowledged for their dedication towards the office and were applauded for what they had achieved till date. Then after, outstanding employees of the year from various departments were presented with awards. Finally, various employees were awarded on four different categories based on the highest number of votes that they had received from their colleagues. The categories were, Excellence in Humor and Entertainment (an award for the person who keeps morale high and makes people look forward to a day at the office), The Risk Taker (The Risk Taker is the one who is fearless enough to take new challenges and overcome the problems), Healthy Living Promoter (An employee who encourages healthy living), Marvelous Multitasker (An employee who completes a multitude of tasks).

After the awards, there was a short silent play. The play exhibited the start of the company, and highs and lows that the company went through during past years through expressive acts of people on stage. It was followed by another band performance along with a solo performance by Manish, a multi talented developer from Interactive Multimedia Studio.

There was hardly any moment for boredom to even start to exist. The mob dance which had the maximum number of participants was among the most joyous instants of the day. Started by few dancers on the stage, the mob dance emerged out with many joining the dance at the middle. By the time the performance reached its end, almost everyone present in the hall were on their feet strumming with the beat of Happy Song. It was a moment of happiness. After the dance that got many to raise their energy level, there was a phrase display where 5 lines, each line starting from the letters that make up “Grafi” were displayed. Each line meant something and told a story about the company. Everyone yelled “we are Grafi” at the end of the program.

A token of Appreciation was given to the Managing Directors on behalf of the GO team and the official program concluded with the cake cutting ceremony, vote of thanks and a group photograph. But the show did not end here, the party had just started. Many got into dance floor and it went on till all called it a day.

A joyful day with good food and wonderful looking people and a proud moment of 10th year celebration made it one of the best events in Grafi Offshore. The celebration was an example describing what and how good the Grafians can do or accomplish if done with passion. The company for a decade had been serving its clients sticking to its principle of excellence in service through innovation by people who care. And, now, the company aims to achieve greater heights.
